» BDE Intialize error (Error $2108)
If u get the following Error, you can solve these with following steps

Windows 7 can be very restrictive towards applications written for the previous versions of Windows. This is the case with the Borland Database Engine (BDE), which is not capable of running in Windows7 unless two settings have been changed:
1.A permission for the BDE must be given in the windows registry database.
2.A BDE attribute named “Net Dir” must be configured to an arbitrary folder other than the root drive (C:). This configuration is done in the “BDE Administrator” program that’s installed with the BDEInfoSetup utility.
1. First, configure the permission for the BDE in the registry…
Make sure you are logged into your Windows7 machine with an administrator account. Then follow these directions:
1.Go to Start | Run… Type regedit…
2.Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE branch.
3.Open the SOFTWARE branch.
4.Right-Click on the entry labeled “Borland”.
5.In the menu that shows select Permissions. The following dialog will appear: 6. Click “Users”.
7.Under “Permissions for Users “, select “Allow” for Full Control. Then click OK.
8.Click OK to exit the Registry Key Permissions dialog box.
9.Exit the Registry Editor window

» Please explain Goodwill’s Hardware / OS requirements
Minimum Hardware Requirements ARE:
- Intel Pentium 4 and above or equivalent processor.
- 256 MB of RAM (512 MB and above is recommended).
- 80 MB of hard disk space.
- Microsoft Windows NT / 2000 / 2003 /XP/Vista / Windows 7/8 operating system.

» I have forgotten my file password. Is it possible for me to regain it back?
Such a situation is quite dangerous as it won’t be able to access your data. Goodwill is well prepared to tackle such a scenario; it offers you a utility called ‘RECOVER PASSWORD’ that allows you to get back your valid password. All you have to do is to type in your User Name when the utility prompts you for one.
» Is it possible for someone to crack my password?
Goodwill offers a secure accounting password that is encrypted proprietary database, difficult for other users to access and break it. However, to be on the safer side, it is advisable to have longer passwords with combinations like comma, hyphen etc, as they are more complex to gain access to and then hack it.

You will also be able to generate at your fingertips a complete up-to-date list of all your products as well as your customers/suppliers and the items they buy/supply
» Unable to Install Goodwill Accounting Software
Once you download Goodwill 4.0 Accounting Software you will get Goodwill 4.0 Accounting Software in goodwill4.zip file . You have to unzip it with winzip.exe or . If not available, you can download winzip.exe utility file from web. Once you unzip, you will get setup.exe in newly created folder.
You run setup.exe, the installation of Goodwill ver 4.0 will start automatically and a shortcut will be created to run Goodwill.exe on your desktop.
» First Time Installation Clarifications
If you are downloading and Installing the Goodwill Accounting Software for the first time, the movement you start clicking the free download accounting software, you will prompted to enter your detail in the Registration Form.
The movement you complete the Registration Form, you will receive the Download link to the email provided in the Registration Form. With download link provided, you can download the Goodwill Lite Accounting software.
You can also download the Goodwill Software Installation Guide from Downloads section of goodwillerp.net. After installation of software you will be provided with Shortcut Key on your desktop.
On execution of Goodwill.exe, you will be prompted to enter password. The password in small letters is goodwill. The companies list will be displayed for all the existing companies created in goodwill.
When a company is selected, again you will be prompted to enter User Id and password. The default UserId and Password are goodwill and goodwill.
The Registration Key of the product will be sent your E-mail Id in 3 to 4 working days. The registration key is generated on your Organization Name.
» Company List is not Displayed
Once You run the Goodwill.exe, you will be prompted with password.
The password in small letters is goodwill and then all the Companies list will be displayed.
Once you select a particular Company, again userid and password will be prompted.
The default userid and password are goodwill and goodwill in small letters.
